1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?

None. I’m not superstitious.

2. TV-show guilty pleasure?

No TV since Tom Brady retired. I prefer reading.

3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?

One day would not be enough, but I would start with returning the Gazette to print, creating a weekly one-hour TV program promoting purebred dogs, and increasing the field reps’ salary.

4. Most valued material possession?

My Chihuahua, Glory.

5. What is something no one would guess about you?

I was a Playboy Bunny in the Boston, Massachusetts, club.

6. Who would you compare yourself to?

No one. One of me is enough.

7. What are you “famous” for?

Not famous, but perhaps interesting: I handled a brace of BIS male Doberman Pinschers (father and son) to four Best Brace in Show. Each weighed more than I did.

8. What website do you visit most often?

I am ashamed to admit, Facebook.

9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?

I only remember one disappointing defeat. An unexpected/satisfying win was BISS from the Veteran class at the Quaker City Doberman Pinscher Specialty over an entry of 247 Dobermans, including his BIS son. My heart dog, BIS Ch. Rosevale’s Dark Temptation!

10. What do you wish someone would ask you?

“Would you like to judge my national specialty?”
