Dog-sport involvement: AKC dog judge

1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?

None.  

2. TV-show guilty pleasure?

Will Trent with his adorable Chihuahua.

3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?  

I would establish a program recognizing Juniors who have excelled in fields other than conformation, such as obedience, agility, field trials, barn hunt, etc.

4. Most valued material possession?

My pearls that my mother brought back from Japan for me more than 50 years ago.

5. What is something no one would guess about you?

My major was piano performance, and my minor was vocal performance. I performed in musical theater for several years and taught both piano and voice for more than 40 years.

6. Who would you compare yourself to?

Melissa McCarthy. We find joy in everything, and love sharing it with others. Enjoy sewing much of our own clothes, raised Catholic and attended Catholic schools, and are always trying to shed those extra pounds. 

7. What are you “famous” for?

Having lots of children, grandkids and great-grandkids.

8. What website do you visit most often?

JTV. Jewelry Television.

9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?

Winning the Samoyed Club of America National Specialty in 2011 under breeder-judge Beth Riley.

10. What do you wish someone would ask you?

“Would you like to judge in Cuba?” Always been my dream.
