Sad news with the passing of ROBERT SCHROLL, who with his husband JOHN GAMMON bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels under the Ravenrush prefix. Since 1977, their dogs have served as a cornerstone for the breed, and they hold the United States record for the most all-breed Best in Show winners. ROBERT was also the delegate for the Clarksville Kennel Club, serving on the Dog Show Rules committee. All of us at DOG NEWS send our deepest sympathies to JOHN and their families. ...
For those contemplating a trip to the CRUFTS DOG SHOW, March 10th through the 12th, entries are now open and they are anticipating a “full capacity” event. In honor of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, there will be a display of the Royal Gundogs in the main ring on Sunday evening. The four-day event will have on Thursday Working and Pastoral breeds and group; Friday Terrier and Hound breeds and group; Saturday Utility and Toy breeds and group, finishing up on Sunday with Gundog breeds and group and Best in Show.
