The NATIONAL ALL BREED PUPPY & JUNIOR STAKES JUDGING PANEL has been released. Having judged that competition twice, I can personally say how enjoyable it is to judge promising puppies that are the future top winners in our sport. The final Best in Show judging consists of three judges: ROZ KRAMER, who will judge the big final Best in Show on Sunday evening; TOMMY COEN, who will judge the Best Bred-by Exhibitor in Show, and PLUIS DAVERN, well-known Sporting breed judge. Nice to see the addition of some new names to the judging panel.
The seven group judges are: Sporting Group, PETER KUBACZ; Hound Group, ERIC STEEL; Working Group, CLIFF STEELE; Terrier Group, MARGERY GOOD; Toy Group, PATTY KEENAN; Non-Sporting Group, BETH SWEIGART, and Herding Group, PHIL BOOTH. These group/breed judges are joined by breed judges KAREN MAMMANO, PER RISMYHR, SARAH MURPHY, HEATHER JOHNSON, LANCE DELORIA, HIRIAM STEWART and ALLISON SUNDERMAN. The panel for the two-day all-breed event also has some new names mixed in with those who always seem to be on the panel. ...
With the rapid ascent of judges needed to fill the panels of the numerous extended dog-shows weekends, recently four very qualified judges — MARY DUKES, ALLISON CORN SUNDERMAN, ALESSANDRA FOLZ and GEORGE WRIGHT — were approved to judge Best in Show. All four of these judges have a history in the sport, and we need more of these experienced judges to adjudicate at that level. ...
