Barbara Alderman passes, AKC gets service-dog-award

The recent passing of BARBARA ALDERMAN only proved what was common knowledge: She was without exception the most admired, respected and beloved judge. Always pleasant, and smiling and cordial. I can say I never heard a negative word about anyone that came from her. In this very judgmental world, that is a rare occurrence. We send our deepest sympathies to her sons and the legion of friends she made over the years as a successful breeder and in her careers as a professional handler and, that rarified accomplishment, all-breed judge. ...

Depending on the destination and the amount of people who sign up for the trip, there are cost savings, and you get to travel with your dog in the cabin. KATY PROCHASKA started a Facebook page to look for fellow travelers as she planned her move from California to Portugal. She and her son and six pets flew with a total of 10 people and 10 dogs in a 14-seater from New York to Lisbon. A commercial company, STARWOOD, helps relocate pets around the world, from the United States to destinations that include Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
