It’s official: In 2024 the French Bulldog remained the most popular breed for the third straight year, edging out the beloved Labrador Retriever, which remains in second place. Rounding out the top 10 are Golden Retrievers, ranked third; fourth, German Shepherd Dogs; fifth, Poodles (all varieties); sixth, Dachshunds (all varieties); seventh, Beagles (both varieties); eighth, Rottweilers; ninth, Bulldogs, and 10th, German Shorthaired Pointers. The top six breeds remained the same from 2023, with the Beagle moving up from eighth to seventh, the Rottweiler moving up one from ninth to eighth, and the Bulldog moving lower, from seventh to ninth. Some breeds that made significant moves up the ranking of popularity are the Cane Corso, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Chinese Crested, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Eskimo Dog, Bracco Italiano, German Pinscher, Boykin Spaniel, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and the Beauceron. ...
