Decades in the making and a long road to finally find a home on New York’s Great White Way: HARMONY, the Broadway musical by BARRY MANILOW and Glen of Imaal Terrier fancier BRUCE SUSSMAN, is set in Nazi Germany. It tells the story of a harmonizing singing group of Jewish and Christian men who were subjected to the Nazi treatment given to those not of their liking. The show was BRUCE’S idea when he watched the EBERHARD FECHNER documentary about a 1930s sextet called the Comedian Harmonists. With music by BARRY MANILOW and book by BRUCE SUSSMAN, the show is at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. ...
