Do you have any dog-show superstitions?  

I always wear royal blue or purple when showing a dog in the classes. Red seems to attract a red ribbon.

TV-show guilty pleasure?

Grey's Anatomy, Downton Abbey, Seinfeld, Jeopardy, The Kominsky Method.

If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?  

First off, I'd stop preaching to the choir and start a number of PSAs on the telly telling the general public why a purebred dog as opposed to a doodle. There is money to do this, and how can we afford not to?

Home and property and breeding stock.

What is something no one would guess about you?

I'm a classical-music nut.

Who would you compare yourself to?

I'm a cross between Emily Post and Hillary Clinton (we share the same birthdate). 

What are you “famous” for?

Breeding Dandie Dinmont Terriers for the last 45 years.

What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?

As I'm a “glass half full person,” I'll go with the positive ... breeding the National Specialty Best of Breed winner for the last seven years, and amazingly the nation's top terrier in 2021 was a King's Mtn. Dandie.
