Profession: Dog handler

Dog-sport involvement: Born in the whelping box with English Setters. Started in obedience training a Toy Poodle and German Shepherd at seven years old. Got my first Dobe at eight years old and won Best Junior Handler at Westminster under Annie Clark at 15 years old.

Hometown: Fort Worth, Texas

Astrological sign: Aries

 

1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?  

No. I used to have them, but no longer.

 

2. TV-show guilty pleasure?

"Big Bang Theory."

 

3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?  

Nothing. I'm staying out of trouble with this one -- too many friends there right now.

 

4. Most valued material possession?

My husband.

 

5. What is something no one would guess about you?

I am a better horsewoman than dog handler.

 

6. Who would you compare yourself to?

My mother, my grandmother Jessie Nail, Annie Clark and Janie Forsyth.

 

7. What are you “famous” for?

Training racehorses and showing dogs.

 

8. What website do you visit most often?

AKC results.

 

9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?

Best win was the DPCA National with "Bubba," Ch. Star A-Cross Texas Dob Mann -- twice!

 

10. What do you wish someone would ask you?

"Where would you like to park?"
