1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?
Not really. I’m not a superstitious person.
2. TV-show guilty pleasure?
“Law and Order.” I’m obsessed.
3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?
Reform the judges’ approval process.
4. Most valued material possession?
My 2004 Mercedes-Benz wagon. Despite the urging of my partner Gerry, and the fact that we don’t need it, I refuse to part with it.
5. What is something no one would guess about you?
I spent my entire professional life in the music industry working with such superstars as Elton John, Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood and many more. Fortunately, no one ever knew I’m tone deaf. But I’m very good at picking hit records.
6. Who would you compare yourself to?
Hmmm, that’s a hard one. Modestly speaking, I’m one of a kind.
7. What are you “famous” for?
Our organic award-winning olive oil, from our 1,500 trees.
8. What website do you visit most often?
Facebook and Instagram.
9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?
Winning a five-point major under Alva Rosenberg from the 6-9 puppy class with my first home-bred Great Dane in 1970. It was in Pennsylvania at a Dane specialty, the first points I ever won, Ch. Alligator Al Of Glen.
10. What do you wish someone would ask you?
How did you ever find someone who puts up with all your dogs, olive trees and all your crazy, time-consuming projects, and have it last 24 years?
