The judging panel for the 10th anniversary of the Owner Handled Series to be held at the AKC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY ROYAL CANIN at their December dog show has been announced. ANN YUHASZ will judge Sporting breeds and the group; D. SCOTT PFEIL will judge Hound breeds and the group; WILLIAM DEVILLENEUVE will judge Working breeds and the group; VALERIA RICKARD will judge Terrier breeds and the group; GUS SINIBADI will judge Toy breeds and the group; KATHI BROWN will judge Non-Sporting breeds and the group, and DANELLE BROWN will judge Herding breeds and the group. The Saturday event has DOMINIC CAROTA once again in the center ring awarding Best Owner Handled Dog in show. The night before, on Friday, DOMINIC is one of three judges joined by DESI MURPHY and CARL LIEPMAN to judge Best in Stakes. ...

One of the most gracious ladies in our sport, CHERYL RAHAMAN, has passed away. CHERYL and her husband NOOR bred and exhibited Afghan Hounds. Those of you who didn't personally know her might recognize her for her striking resemblance to songstress DONNA SUMMER.
