With all the negative stories in the news, we need a feel-good story with a happy ending. TONI SOSNOFF, well-known Poodle breeder, read an article in the newspaper about some depraved, sick individual who brutally beat his year-old Toy Poodle, causing multiple broken bones and internal injuries, and then threw him off an overpass. Fortunately, a policewoman found the dog clinging to life and brought him to the ASPCA. There he underwent several life-saving surgeries over the course of time.
Heartsick reading this story about the breed they love, TONI & MARTIN SOSNOFF tried unsuccessfully to contact the ASPCA to inquire if the dog was available for adoption. This writer was contacted by TONI and with the help of DENNIS SPRUNG the telephone number was obtained of someone of authority who could shed some light on the matter. The dog was still critically ill and recovering from his many surgeries. The SOSNOFFS offered to pay all the medical bills for the dog and adopt him so that he could spend the rest of his life in peace and comfort in a loving home. She was told that there were at least 20 other offers to adopt the dog, including the policewoman who rescued him. Finally, they decided to offer the dog to the SOSNOFFS, and on Wednesday there was a meet and greet with the dog. Love at first sight, and he is now in his new loving home. ...
