1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?
Once I win with a lead on a dog, it stays with the dog and retires with the dog.
2. TV-show guilty pleasure?
“Catfish.”
3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?
Restrict the number of days per year a dog could be shown. Eliminate the breed ranking system so people could get back to enjoying showing dogs and not just chasing points.
4. Most valued material possession?
My artwork, not because of the value of my collection, but because each piece has a special meaning in its own right for me.
5. What is something no one would guess about you?
I am terrified of people.
6. Who would you compare yourself to?
A perpetual student of Henri Cartier-Bresson. Living to capture THAT decisive moment … "the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event, as well as of a precise organization of forms which gave that event its proper expression.”
7. What are you “famous” for?
My ability to capture a dog’s character and remain true to its breed standard — without having to Photoshop it beyond recognition — as well as my love of recording the history of our sport.
8. What website do you visit most often?
eBay.
9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?
Wins for sure. Winning the Bitch CC at Crufts with my homebred Toy Poodle and doing the double at Crufts with my Cardigans.
10. What do you wish someone would ask you?
Questions to which they would like honest answers.
