1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?
Nope. Not superstitious at all.
2. TV-show guilty pleasure?
This is weird, but I occasionally binge-watch horse and cattle hoof-repair videos on YouTube. I hardly ever watch TV.
3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?
Find funds to use toward a public-education campaign in the U.S. about preservation breeding and the value of purebred dogs.
4. Most valued material possession?
A stunning bronze head study of a Bloodhound. I have other bronzes, but that's the one I'd grab in a fire.
5. What is something no one would guess about you?
I was a pregnant high-school dropout. My son grew up on the backside of racetracks in south Florida and then on the campus of Ohio State.
6. Who would you compare yourself to?
The Little Engine That Could.
7. What are you “famous” for?
I'm not famous for anything. I'm just a regular person.
8. What website do you visit most often?
Amazon, hands down.
9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?
Two very satisfying wins: when I finished a father/son duo six years apart from the Bred-by class at the Bloodhound National Specialty under two amazing Hound specialists, Kent Delaney and Edna Martin. Just the best memories!
10. What do you wish someone would ask you?
"Would you come judge in Australia next year?"
