1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?
As an exhibitor, never wore red for obvious reasons-- besides, it’s not in my color wheel!
2. TV-show guilty pleasure?
HGTV and Law and Order SVU
3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?
For starters, revamp the website to make it more user-friendly and increase AKC’s exposure to the general public, most of whom know OF the AKC, but not ABOUT the AKC and all the good we do for purebred dogs.
4. Most valued material possession?
My Mother’s engagement ring -- always on my finger.
5. What is something no one would guess about you?
I’m a big fan of cryptograms!
6. Who would you compare yourself to?
My Mom - a real go-getter. Her favorite expression was, “You rest, you rust.”
7. What are you “famous” for?
Speaking out and speaking up.
8. What are your thoughts on Social Media?
A devil in disguise. Many opportunities for good; sadly, often used for ill.
9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?
My first place win in Miscellaneous -- got me hooked for life!
10. What do you wish someone would ask you?
About the history of Wheatens in this country -- before those of us who were there are too old to remember!
