Remembering Last Year ...

Do you remember last year's winners? As we get ready for the 14th annual Santa Barbara Kennel Club Breeders Showcase later this month, it might help to look at the winners from 2022 …

Here are the rules: Each entry shall consist of two dogs of the same breed or variety, and each entry shall have at least one breeder in common. (All the 2022 group winners had at least two breeders in common. Only one had additional co-breeders that were not listed for both dogs.) Dogs entered may be handled by anyone — e.g., breeder, owner or handler. The Breeders Showcase will start at the group level. One entry of two dogs shall be chosen in each of the seven AKC Variety Groups, and from these a Reserve BIS and a BIS winner shall be declared.
