AKC Museum of the Dog Art Contest

Here we are and its already June. Half the year has gone by in what seems like minutes. With Memorial Day now behind us, the Summer season has officially started. With that in mind the Museum of the Dog is accepting submissions for their Member Art Contest.
Christopher Bromson, CEO of the AKC Museum of the Dog, is quoted saying “One of the greatest joys of the Dog Museum is continually discovering the extraordinary talent that exists within our community of dog lovers.” This competition is open to any and all members of the Dog Museum. Twenty selected works will be featured in a special exhibition at the Museum of the Dog from July 16th through September 27th, 2026. Visitors to the museum will be able to vote on their favorite work of art and the “best in show” winner will be announced on September 17th. The competition is open to all visual artists that work in any medium. According to Alan Fausel, curator of the Dog Museum “We are thrilled to see all the incredible talent from across the country once again. We are always promoting ways to celebrate the beauty, personality. spirit and joy of dogs through art.” Submission is open now until June 16th. You must be a museum member to enter this competition.
