This weekend marks the end of the long career of the CEO and president of the American Kennel Club Dennis B. Sprung. For the past 22 years, Dennis has loyally served in that position. He joined the American Kennel Club in 1989 as a field representative in the Northeast. Prior to his employment, Dennis was a judge of Hound breeds, the president and delegate of the Bronx County Kennel Club, and cluster head of that Bronx weekend. He also served on the trial board while a delegate. 
Dog News wants to take this opportunity to thank Dennis for his years of unselfishly giving and dedicating his professional life to the American Kennel Club as the second longest-serving president in American Kennel Club history. We also want to congratulate and send best wishes to his hand-chosen successor, new CEO and President Gina M. DiNardo. Thanks again, Dennis, for all you did, and know it was much appreciated.
