Given that thinking the delegate body got want they wanted as two of the three delegates put forward to run for the board are former directors. On the heels of that vote, the nominating committee for the Class of 2030 released the names of the three delegates they selected to run for the board of directors. The current three seated directors are ineligible to run this time due to term limits. Which means that they have served two consecutive terms and must sit out one year before they can throw their hat in the ring once again. Those three directors from the Class of 2026 are Christopher Sweetwood, delegate from the Trap Falls Kennel Club, Harold “Red” Tatro III, delegate from the Fort Worth Kennel Club and Ann Wallin, delegate from the Atlanta Kennel Club. The committee selected by the board of directors was headed by chairperson Gail Faberge, delegate from the Atlanta Obedience Club, Gretchen Bernardi, delegate from the Mississippi Valley Kennel Club, Ellen Hardin, delegate from the Golden Retriever Club of America, Barbara Shaw, delegate from the Greater Colin Kennel Club and Matthew Townsend, delegate from the Carolina Working Group Association. With the three seated directors from the Class of 2026 ineligible to run, the nominating committee selected these three delegates as their choice for the board: former director and vice chairman Dominic Carota, delegate from the Pharaoh Hound Club of America, Jason Hoke, delegate from the Chain O’ Lakes Kennel Club, and former director Tom Powers, delegate from the Kennel Club of Beverly Hills. Those three choices are strong contenders who are  popular with the delegate body and easy winners. Even if they are challenged by delegates who wish to run by petition from the floor. Now fast forward to the March annual meeting and the election. Following the election of the Class of 2030 the new board has their elections and the big question is who emerges from the boardroom as chairman and vice chairman. The speculation is three likely choices are current chairman Tom Davies  or Charlie Garvin or Dominic Carota.
