In 49 years of attending MCKC, this past week stands out to me as the best weather I've ever experienced on this special weekend!

There is no other dog show that draws out all terriers in our country. Foreign visitors abound, especially Geoff Corish who attends yearly. As an exhibitor winning your breed is an unforgettable excitement one never forgets. Montgomery is loaded with National Specialties and that’s how it should be. A ribbon at Montgomery is treasured. Placing in the group is an honor. I’ve previously placed in the group with one of my Norfolk but this year earning a Group Two under Richard Powell with the Smooth Fox Terrier, Amy Rutherford bred and I co-own along with Peter Holson, was an amazing feat, bone chilling to say the least. Amy, Peter, and I thank every judge who during the Montgomery week, as I call it, honored “Wager” with breed wins and group placements. A fabulous week of shows and one I hope to attend until death do us part.

Yes, we did attend! It was such a fun and well-organized event. The dogs all looked incredible, and it was great to see so many breeds represented. We stayed right through to the grand finale - what an exciting finish!

Please extend my thanks to all the Montgomery County Kennel Club members for their hard work and dedication. It really showed in how well the event came together
- a wonderful day all around!

It was a glorious week weatherwise and Montgomery was, as usual, exciting to watch. Rings full of perfectly presented and handled dogs is a real treat for anyone interested in terriers. Cant wait for 2026.

Montgomery was once again very special. The parking, morning access and, grooming areas were well organized and stress free. The parking staff is great. The individual hospitality tents for each breed are a great addition. Most importantly, there is no other place where you can see so many dogs of your own breed, compare dogs, and get a good picture of where your breed stands. And there is the added bonus of seeing so many old friends.
